I had the privilege of photographing this family and creating some amazing wall art for their home. They knew they wanted a large family portrait and so we were able to capture exactly what they needed during their session. It was so much fun taking photographs afterwards of Miss P who had some great posing ideas of her own. She’s a natural model with gorgeous red hair!
Shortly after their session I broke my right arm, (yes, I’m right handed) and they were so kind and patient to wait until I could edit their images. Thank you Marlowes for letting me capture these memories of your sweet family.
I love out-takes sometimes better than the posed ones. Every time I look at this image I just have to laugh! I can still hear their giggles and laughter. Mom had to have a print of this one – so fun – you have to smile!

The Mississippi River is an awesome backdrop for a photography session – especially in the afternoon with the soft golden glow of the setting sun washing over everything. This family was so much fun to be with. The brother and sister truly love each other and absolutely adore their mom! When we headed downtown to the river, we knew exactly what the mom was looking for…a large print of the kids looking out over the river with the sun setting. And as an extra bonus we got a barge in the background! It was an amazing afternoon – the weather was slightly crisp, there were some clouds in the sky, and the river flowed lazily south under the bridge.
