Peach Magnolia Wedding

Folio Love set up an vintage styled outdoor wedding ceremony complete with bride and groom. All I can say is ADORABLE!

A Beautiful Outdoor Reception

The Folio Love event provided the most gorgeous outdoor setting for the reception session. It was set up under the trees and the greens of the table scape perfectly complimented the surrounding foliage. Folio Love didn’t miss a single detail. From the cute name card holders made from wine bottle corks to the little blocks that spelled out the word LOVE!

A Few More Bridal…

A few more bridal photos from the Folio Love Workshop. I still have the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception photos to edit. I hope you won’t grow tired of seeing them! I learned so much from the workshop and I am learning even more as I edit the photos.

Bridal Portrait

During the Folio Love portfolio building workshop in September one of the sessions was shooting brides. The models were absolutely gorgeous. There will be more photos of this beautiful bride later.

Engagement Session – Tailgate Style

This is another great styled photo session at the Folio Love workshop. The day of the shoot this engaged couple had a paparazzi experience that would rival any Hollywood couple! Congratulations Jahna and Sam!

A Folio Love Styled Shoot from their 2011 Event

An Apple A Day…

Another school portrait session from the awesome Folio Love. This was such a fun session with all those great school-themed props – apples, books, pencils, globe, and those cute nerd glasses! I wished my school pictures looked like these!

Could This Be The Next Justin Bieber?

At the end of September I got to attend an awesome photography workshop put on by Folio Love in Knoxville. Photographers from all over the country had the opportunity to photograph amazing models and some of the most creative, detailed sets. It gave me the opportunity  to shoot venues I would never have been able to photograph.

The girls at Folio Love put together awesome sessions for bridal portraits, seniors, a wedding reception, an engaged couple, a wedding ceremony, a fun family of four, a little girl’s birthday party, a set with young musicians, and school portraits…and with all the small details.

These photos are from one of the school portraits sessions. This young man had personality galore! He sat down at the desk and immediately started posing. We didn’t have to give him direction at all. Later I found out he is an does some acting and sings, and he has a dream of performing professionally. Could this be the next Justin Bieber?

An Old Barn In Maury County

My friend and I passed this intriguing old barn on our way home from Maury County – at least it looked intriguing to me, all the old wood, the little copula on top, the vines growing over it. It has long been forgotten, except by those looking for the old and forgotten things of the past to photograph. (You know you have a good friend when she suggests that we turn around so you can get a photo of an old barn and little white church that you just passed.)

Little White Church in Maury County

Back in August a friend of mine and I headed to Middle Tennessee on a road trip to visit another friend for her birthday. On the way home we found this little white church back off the side of the road. The lawn around the church was cut, so people are still worshiping there. What’s cool is that whether it’s a large mega church in the city or a little white church in the country, Jesus is praised!

When little girls sing, “I love my new bike.”

When this sweetie girl got a new purple bike, she sang a little song that went like this, “Oh, I love my new bike. I love my new bike. Oh, I love my new bike. I love my new bike…,” as she rode up and down the driveway. The happiness just oozed out of this little girl with a new bike, and I got to watch!

Beale St at Night

I seem to be hooked on night photos lately! Anyway, here’s another photo from my adventure to photograph Memphis at night this last weekend. Maybe tomorrow I’ll find another subject to post…or maybe not!

Memphis Night Lights

My friends and I found the best spot ever to photograph the Memphis skyline at night. It took a little clue searching to find it and a couple of wrong turns and backtracking on gravel roads, but it was worth it. It was a gorgeous night – perfect weather and no bugs!

Sunset on the Mississippi

Last weekend I participated in the Scott Kelby Photo Walk 2011 along with other photogs all over the world. This year I walked with photographers, both professional with really, really nice DSLRs and amateurs with point & shoots) in Memphis at Harbor Town. (I could live at Harbor Town!!) Always looking for an excuse to shoot with those who share the same passion!

Love Missing Front Teeth

Don’t you just love it when little kids loose their front teeth. They are so cute! They get so excited when they come out. But moms (and grandmoms, aka Nana) know it means that their little ones are growing up…and it comes way too fast!

I finally did it!

I did it. I finally did it. I jumped head first into the world of blogs! I’m not sure what this world looks like from my end, but I want this to be a place to share all the passions of my life.
