Turning six is a great time to capture all the cuteness before the little boy traits are gone. Energy abounding and curiosity galore…and just look at all of those glorious red curls!
When you’re twelve your future consists of what’s happening in the next two minutes…what you’re going to wear…what you’re going to eat…who’s posting on instagram or snapchat. For this birthday girl, turning twelve is all about fun, giggles, birthday cake, and presents! Happy birthday, Sweetie!
All little princesses should have someone to protect them, and this sweet one certainly does! Her protector is her big brother who adores her, although he’s only known her for a few short weeks! When little Miss A came into the studio for her newborn photos at 13 days old, her big brother came along too…just to make sure she was well taken care…
This cute little man stole my heart the first time he smiled! So typical of a 2 year old he was up, down, and all around! I’m not beyond a bribe! I admit – I did entice him with candy to get him to sit still for just a moment. But it was worth it to get the cutest little dimple you ever saw!…
After my granddaughter received a plastic parakeet for Christmas, we started imagining a photo shoot centered around the little bird. It was originally going to be about a “princess”. She insisted it was a princess not just a little girl – a big difference to a 9 year old who finds a lost bird in the woods in winter. She put it in a…
This little cowboy was so excited to visit the barn and see the horses. He had everything he needed to look like a real-live cowboy…a flannel shirt, a pair of boots, and a real cowboy hat! The only thing he was lacking was a little bit of courage. You see this cowboy had never been this close to a horse before, and this horse…
I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at one of our local parks with three of the greatest kids – each with their very own different personality! One is quite, one is bubbly, and one is curious. Can you figure out which is which?
My granddaughter and I took a trip to visit family who lives about three hours away. My granddaughter was so excited to spend the night with her Nashville cousins, but when the time came to leave she and my great-niece had been plotting. They had decided that my great-niece would go back with us and spend the week. We packed her bag and were…
It’s funny how little kids find the simplest things so fascinating. Common, ordinary yellow flowers that most of us walk over and step on without a second thought, become the objects of fascination and demands close examination. I don’t know if it’s the bright color, the abundance, or that it’s something to be dissected…but these treasures just can’t be ignored. This little boy, who…
This was the first lake outing of the year for my 7 year old granddaughter. She just had to get in the boat and tube. So we packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and met “Poppa” at the dock. We found a quite little cove–perfect for eating lunch and learning to tube alone. She was so excited about tubing by herself, but when…
It was a good day… warm and windy with lots of clouds in the sky. A good day for photos with little Miss S. Her mother is in the Navy and has been deployed for most of the year. Miss S wanted to send her mother a special photo book for Mother’s Day, so we headed out to capture her spirit and smile. She…
More fun playing in the leaves. You can tell these two boy really love each other and have a ton of fun together.
The Many Faces of Boys…It was fun taking quick snaps of these two boys. They are too funny! The not so serious one turned serious and the more serious one turned rather animated. Although there’s not a lot of difference in the younger one’s expressions, there’s a slight tilt of the smile and that same little twinkle in his eyes!
And what you get is a whole lot of fun! I had so much fun with these two boys on a fall afternoon…tossing the football, raking leaves, and, of course, jumping in the leaves. You can tell that these two brothers have fun together no matter what they’re doing.
Another school portrait session from the awesome Folio Love. This was such a fun session with all those great school-themed props – apples, books, pencils, globe, and those cute nerd glasses! I wished my school pictures looked like these!
At the end of September I got to attend an awesome photography workshop put on by Folio Love in Knoxville. Photographers from all over the country had the opportunity to photograph amazing models and some of the most creative, detailed sets. It gave me the opportunity to shoot venues I would never have been able to photograph. The girls at Folio Love put together…
