As a photographer I’m always trying to follow the “rules” and work hard to “find the light,” but over Memorial Day I had to choose whether to break the rules and take the shot or to wait until later in the day when the light was better and possibly miss the shot.
To shoot or not to shoot? The real question is…do you miss the moment for perfection or make that memory with all it’s imperfections that you’ll treasure forever? For me there really wasn’t a choice when it came right down to it – I took the shot! I wouldn’t have missed the memory of my granddaughters playing in the pool together just to get the right light.
Definitely the right decision. Nice shots.
Actually, this is David making the comment. I guess Diane used my computer and left herself logged into her WordPress account.
Thank you – David. That’s too funny!
I had a teacher in high school who told me to never pass on a shot. Take it and decide later if it was a good shot or not. Most really good pictures were accidental shots anyway. From what I have seen of your work on the Internet, you are an excellent photographer. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Mark. I always appreciate positive critique and sweet compliments.
